Let’s take back communication and tell the contexts
We have periodically had to pick up the thread of the conversation after a period of “press silence”. It happened at the beginning with a few months between the completion of the film and the start of the festival participations. Then also later, at the end of last August after a summer full of events.
Precisely between the end of August and the first days of September we managed to conclude the stories and reports of the first important festival participations: Ischia film festival, Ortigia Film Festival, Ocean Films Húsavík. We also managed to partly tell what we were experiencing at the same time at the Mostra del Cinema di Venezia with our first special screening.
We managed to announce the selections and the programming for the months of September and October: the official selection at the Caorle Film festival, at the Labour Film Festival and at the Nebrodi Cinema Doc with also the second special screening at the G7 in Syracuse.
From then on, despite our intentions being very different, we were no longer able to go beyond the announcement in October. Among other things, cumulative in a single article, of three very important and significant selections at two New York festivals (the Workers Unite! Film Festival and the International Film Festival Manhattan) and at the SeeMôr Film Festival (in Wales, UK). Here the article. Then in December we only managed to give the essential information on the presence of L’intervista in mare on the Mymovies One platform as part of the Cefalù film festival and of the award received from this very festival.
The sparseness of communication has not corresponded to a lack of news or topics to address. If anything, the opposite is true. A lot of things have happened and selections are still happening (we are now at 14!) and awards. We managed to give news of the participation at the Los Angeles Italia – Film, Fashion and Art Festival. Of other important participations we leave here only a few clues. We really did not expect such a dense path and above all we had not taken into account the consequences of having to harmonize the commitments of distributing a film while you are already busy producing a new one.
We have finally found the space to complete the backlog, merging the story and the report on the festivals and screenings into slightly more substantial articles, to then catch up and get to the previews. In the meantime, it will be necessary to take a couple of moments for some general reflections suggested by what we have experienced in a truly very intense way.
Therefore, over the next few days and weeks we will publish more than fifteen articles in succession. This time it is not a simple statement of intent, but a promise. In fact, most of the articles are already in the editing phase. As always, everything will then be gradually brought to our social media too.
