The Interview at Sea invited to the independent cinema series Fronte del Porto

The year 2025 closed for The Interview at Sea with a highly significant special screening at the European Parliament in Brussels (here the article announcing it). It was a prestigious event, but above all a fruitful one. We are not yet able to fully report on it, as events are following one another at a fast pace and we have decided to take the necessary time and space to properly reflect on them.
With 2026, we reach and surpass a year and a half of distribution (we began with the world premiere on June 29, 2024 — here the article announcing the participation in the Ischia Film Festival), and we continue our navigation toward a welcoming and familiar harbor: the Fronte del Porto screening room at Porto Astra Cinema in Padua.

Here, too, we truly feel at home, not only because the cinema’s name evokes the harbor that welcomes all fishing vessels, but above all because we are arriving thanks to an invitation to take part in an independent cinema series produced and curated by numerous associative and cultural organizations. Leading the project is one of the most important cultural realities in Italian cinema, ZaLab, which produces and distributes independent documentaries via streaming on zalabview.org (including works by our friend Andrea Segre).

The series, which began last autumn, takes place in the beautiful Fronte del Porto hall, located within the multiscreen complex of Porto Astra Cinema in the Guizza district of Padua. It is a vibrant and well-attended venue for cinephiles and film lovers, where first-run and mainstream cinema coexist with arthouse and independent films.

The screening of The Interview at Sea will take place on:
Friday, January 30, starting at 8:30 PM
Fronte del Porto Hall (Porto Astra Cinema)
Via Santa Maria Assunta, 20, Padua (Guizza area)
Admission is free (voluntary donations welcome).
Director Ludovico Ferro and part of the film crew will be present.

We look forward to seeing many of you there, and as always, stay connected through our Facebook page for all upcoming news. 2026 will be a year of reflection, but also of new and important projects!
