Report

For L’intervista in mare, autumn was an explosive season, full of commitments (here the article).

It can then happen that it is not possible to participate in person at a festival despite the desire being always great. When this happens there is always a bit of regret, but even from afar it is possible to live the experience in a beautiful and fruitful way.

This happened with the Nebrodi Cinema DOC International Festival that took place in Naso (Messina) from 7th to 13rd of October. We were unable to return for the third time to Sicily less than two weeks after the screening in Syracuse and only four days after the Labour Film Festival.

However, the disappointment was compensated by the first official recognition received by L’intervista in mare. It was judged as a finalist film. For us, as we also mentioned in the previous article, what counts are the selections and the opportunities to have the film shot, perhaps meeting the public. When an acknowledgement arrives we can only be happy and proud, especially if the festival that awards it to us is a rich and interesting event. And the Nebrodi Cinema DOC is certainly a complete event where screenings and awarding of prizes are combined with meetings, panels, masterclasses.

This is also a festival that we feel we can recommend and that we will try to experience in the next editions even just as spectators since L’intervista in mare has already made a significant stop here during its festival journey. And as we will see, this was not the last Sicilian landing!
